Guitar Technician and luthier in Cardiff
 

Hi, I'm Kelly Gwyrddu, the Alchemy Instruments Guitar Technician and Luthier, based in Cardiff. I provide services for acoustic and electric guitars (and the occasional mandolin!)

 

I'm also an experienced bass player and have recently completed an MA in Music Theory. Throughout my career as a musician, I've had the great fortune to tour and share stages with acts such as Supergrass, The Joy Formidable, Skindred, and Pendulum.

What's more, throughout the last 20 years of musicianship, I've honed my guitar tech and Lutherie skills in the UK and North America, not just for myself, but for artists and producers who want a bespoke and consistent service. Because I've been a musician and luthier for so long, I understand how important it is to approach repair work from the perspective of the musician who is expecting quality and dependability from their guitar technician.

Having settled in my native Wales, I now fix all manner of instruments in Cardiff. Hearing your stories about your guitars, where they've been, what they've played, and how much you value them is always at the forefront of my mind, and ensures I treat your valued instruments as if they were my own.
